A pastel tone colored pencil drawing of a woman,
grotesquely misshapen into the shape of a swan. Her head has no hair and she has feathered wings where her ears would be. Her face is downturned with her eyes
closed and a calm expression. Her long neck extends in a curved shape to her chest which sits near the water. Her arms become wings, and her torso is
disproportionately large and floats on the water horizontally like a swan. Her legs extend down from her floating body, her toes pointed gracefully.

about this piece

I actually really like this piece. I don't know where I got the idea from but I wanted to draw a woman with such distorted proportions as to be grotesque, but to still be beautiful and graceful somehow. I think the swan body was an apt choice. She comes off more like a cryptid or a deity than a horrible monster. I wish I'd done a better job coloring it but I still really like the actual composition.
