I made this collage out of photographs I took of flowers arouund my yard, my own drawing of a human skull in profile, and clippings from advertizements and coupon books. The background is watercolor which I had to try like 3 times to get right actually, it's pretty tough to just get an even single tone on a whole 11x14 inch page!

I found the diced meat and thought it was classic and a great size, so I cut it out, and I thougth it looked vaguely shaped like a brain. I like to sift through my collection of cut out words and letters until I find something I like, and I came across "GET," "pain relief," "and more!" and "with digital coupon" separately and spliced them into one message which I loved in combination with the brain meat. So after letting the idea cook (lol) for a bit this image started to form.

I really love the idea of using my own photography and illustration for collage so I hope to do more of that, and I think this image really came together nicely.
