about this piece
I drew this at school one day between classes. I was feeling very salty because I was seeing a lot of a certain kind of art where people basically just portray beloved Disney characters doing sketchy/edgy stuff like smoking crack, jacking off, having sex, having tattoos, and being degenerates in general. I'm not a "Disney adult" by any means so it's not the apparent debasement of the characters that irritates me. Not that many things are sacred in my mind when it comes to art. I'm not even a snob about "immature" things because obviously I can be a pretty immature person and indulge in some very silly art. But I guess I was annoyed in the way that being exposed to any extremely teenaged antics for a prolonged period of time can be annoying. It's neither the silliness or the Disneyness of it that get me, it's the impression I get that the target audience should find the image shocking, jarring, or otherwise outrageous when it's actually just pretty, i don't know, normal? I do think it has something to do with the sort of angsty teenaged period where you're losing a certain innocence, you're not into the Disney movies for kids that you used to be excited about, and you're learning the world is not always a cute nice place and that even your favorite people can actually be very gross and weird lol.
I put just about all the commentary in the drawing, so there's not much explaining that needs to be done. It's a gross Morkey, one of millions.
